Product Overview
Lexar Insulation is a high-performance, closed-cell Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) rigid foam board. Manufactured entirely from virgin material (no recycled foam), it offers superior long-term thermal resistance compared to XPS alternatives.
It's laminated on both faces with 3-mil poly film (6 mil in total), which serves as the vapor barrier once the seams are taped, and it has a 6-inch grid printed on the face to guide quick, accurate PEX and rebar placement.

4x24 Fanfold Format
Arrives as a folded 4x4 cube and opens to a 4x24 run that covers 96 square feet: 3x the coverage of a 4x8 sheet.
Printed 6" Grid
No chalk lines. Lines up 12-inch residential and 18-inch commercial PEX spacing, and gives you a straight line to cut on.
6-Mil Vapor Barrier Built In
Tape the seams and you're done. No separate plastic to roll out underneath.
Termiticide Built In
Treated with Preventol®. Termiticide is built in and protects your home from termites.
R-Value Specification
Lexar EPS insulates with trapped air, so it has no blowing agent to lose over time. R-value per inch of thickness, by strength:
